No, lei™ Trays are made from sugarcane fibers and not from wheat, which contains gluten. Additionally, the lei™ Trays are lined with a high barrier film so food items do not come in contact with the fiber tray.

After the high barrier film that lines the lei™ Tray is peeled off and discarded, the lei™ Tray, 100% fiber-based and derived from natural resources, can be disposed of with other organic waste. The lei™ Tray has no adverse effects on the environment and is naturally compostable, without requiring a specialized composting facility. Conveniently, the lei™ Tray is also curb-side recyclable with other fibrous materials commonly made from wood such as paper, paperboard, and corrugated.
